Andrew E. Schultz, Executive Director

In April 2010, CAJAC’s Board of Directors appointed Andrew E. Schultz as its first full-time Director.  Selected from a competitive group of candidates, Andy has 10+ years of Jewish communal experience, having worked for 6 years as a Senior Regional Director with the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization (BBYO).  Subsequent to BBYO, Andy served as the North American Director of Marketing and Recruitment with the Nesiya Institute.

Throughout his career, Andy has managed several important projects and programs with major implications for Jewish communal life.  Often wearing several hats simultaneously, Andy is an experienced fundraiser, Jewish educator, and community leader.  In addition to his full-time professional duties, Andy serves as a part-time Chazzan and Torah Reader.  Complementing his professional porfolio, for the last seven years, Andy has worked in a part-time capacity in the Pastoral Services Department of the Jewish Home for the Elderly of Eastern Fairfield County.

Andy also has a demonstrated passion for end-of-life issues, having served as a member of the Zichron Shabtei Leib Chevra Kadisha of Bridgeport, CT.

Originally from New Jersey, Andy is a proud alumnus of the University of Connecticut and also holds a Masters Degree in Public Policy and Administration.  Andy currently resides in Stamford, CT with his wife Jessica, sons Ari and Coby, and Cooper the dog.
